You'll have to chose a different motherboard to use a Core 2 Duo and DDR2 RAM. The motherboard you chose is only for Core i7 CPU's and DDR3 RAM.

What's your budget for graphics cards?

For motherboard I'd suggest getting GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P which in my opinion is the best socket 775 board for the price. Overclocks like crazy. For graphic card I'd suggest ati hd 4890 or if you are short on money 4870. Also if you prefer nvidia gtx 260 or 275 are worth looking into. But like Bodaggit said we need to know how much you want to spend on the gpu.

Arctic Power 700W...ive seen that power supply, it has pretty low amperage ratings and only has a single pcie connector.

You will want to either go core i7(change your cpu, as you cannot run a 775 cpu on a 1366 motherboard), or go phenom II(essentially the same as a core 2 series in performance), which at this price range offers the best choice, as you can get a triple or quadcore for the same price as a dual core, and the fact that socket 775 is eol makes the am2+/am3 platform sound all that much better.

Might want to think about something such as this:
Mobo: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/161328
CPU: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/164047
Memory:http://www.ebuyer.com/product/166463

This is a good gpu:

Might wanna get a better power supply...that arctic power is pretty low amperage and only single pci-express connector:

Couple bucks more, but modular, and a quality 700W:

Is this GPU any good? The reviews are amazing?

its ok but if you buy a gtx 260 then make sure to get the core 216 version. the one you linked only has 192 and isnt as good as the core 216. i would personally go with the 4890 and especially since it will drop in price by october since thats a good 2-3 months away

What about this? A killer build?

first of all the cpu isnt compatible with the mobo and neither is the memory, ill give you a mobo that works with bboth, they are on american sites, just search the model on google uk. this is good, and so is this for a little more, this is also pretty good and around the same price

any of these will work with what you have, all you need to do is switch the mobo (motherboard)

You have a AM2+ board and DDR3 memory. A AM2+ board uses DDR2. You need to get a AM3 board to use the memory picked out or change the memory to DDR2

Plus get a better Power Supply, OCZ-Corsair-PC Power & Cooling - Silverstone - BFG

first of all the cpu isnt compatible with the mobo and neither is the memory,

Yes the processor is compatible with the board, but the memory is not.
