Building New Computer

I am building a new computer that will mostly be used for surfing the web and playing games like Halo and Half-Life.
Will these parts work good?

-PC CHIPS M825G V9.2A Socket A (Socket 462) VIA KM266Pro Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
-CENTON 512MB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) System Memory
-AMD Sempron 2200+ Thoroughbred 333MHz FSB 256KB L2 Cache Socket A Processor

Is the onboard video good enough or should I get a good video card?
What power supply should I get?
I already have all the drives and case and fans and stuff, am forgetting anything?

You do realize this computer isn't going to be playing the latest games right? Just want to make sure you do't go any buy Doom3 or anything.

With the onboard video i doubt you can play Halo decently, i'd buy an AGP8X card for that. Which one? Well i don't know your budget, but for those 2 games and maybe a bit more i'd suggest at least a Radeon 9600.

As far as power supply goes, you want at least 350watt PSU from a REPUTABLE company. dont find a 600watter that costs $30...that's a big no no. Look for higher amperages on each rail and research it before you buy it. Most people can recommend you very nice powersupplies.

What operating system are you using?

I know I cant play the latest games on it.
On my other computer I have a Radeon 9200SE and I plays Doom 3 fine, so should I get another Radeon 9200SE for stuff like Halo?

Would a
ATADC POWERKING PK400 ATX12V 400W Power Supply 115/230 V UL,CE,CB
work good?

I will probably be using XP pro, maybe 2000 pro as a last resort.

What's your budget??? If you don't have greater than $700, get an oem machine, it won't do you much good to build your own.
suggest you get the t6522
Emachines
AMD AThlon 64 3500+ (2.2Ghz, 2200MHZ)
1GB PC3200 RAM
200GB Hard Drive
DL DVD+_RW Burner
Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition with tv tuner/remote
ATI 200M GFX with avilable PCI-Express (x16) slot
17"CRT screen
Canon Pixma iP1600 printer
avilable at circuit city after rebates for $699 (i think this is accurate, rumors that this pc is out, but can't seem to find much information)

eMachines offers good pcs... Don't insult them. They're a pretty decent manufactuere.

that is actually a bad power supply. i think it only has 18 amps on the 12 V rail. but with the games you described it should handle it pretty well. unless you're willing to spend 60+$ you won't be able to find a better one. that is actually the cheapest one on the site and a very good brand.

well...i think i already said this...but stick with the bigger brands. buying a bigger watt rated PSU for a measly amount of money is asking for trouble. if a PSU goes bad and has problems...it can potentially take out all of your other hardware. would you want a $15 power supply unit to ruin your entire computer? it's one of the most important investments in your computer, more so than CPU, mobo, memory, gfx card...etc. so it should be the MOST quality part in your computer...even if you have to wait till your next pay check to afford it.

why would you ever get an eMachine?
because not everyone is so skilled as you to be able to build their own and they dont wanna deal with a Dell BIOS?

alanuofm, that is really good, but do i need that good of a power supply? can't i get a cheaper one?
its not that good a PSU. In fact, at 19A on the 12V line ... its really nothing special also have a look at PSU 101.

@4w4k3 ... nice PSU dude :)
