Awesome thanks. I replaced them with the items you suggested. This is pretty much just gonna be a base build due to budget but I will be upgrading piece by piece. Do you think this is a good start?

Yes it is a good start

The mobo is Am3 so it supports Phenom II (quad core) if you ever need more processing power. The power supply could handle quite a bit too

If your not going to be Overclocking this rig you really dont need one. Plus later when your upgrading it newer, better, and cheaper heatsinks will be out.

Edit: The CPU comes with a stock heatsink/fan

Thanks for the help. Hopefully I'll get a good amount of X-Mas cash and be able to get a good chunk of this stuff. Looks like I got somewhat of a gift list to hand out to people haha.

Edit: It says fan not included in the description.

Edit 2: Im also gonna see what kind of parts my other computer has to see if there are any parts I can use from it to set my priority for the order i purchase my parts.

Yea not really a huge savings ill probably do that. Is Newegg cheaper then compusa/tigerdirect?

Yes and no

They are both good competitors therfor they generally have the same prices/deals. Newegg seems to be a little cheaper overall and they have free shipping deals all the time.

On most things - yes. Plus you can usually pick it up with no tax and free shipping.

If you live near a Local Microcenter - you can pick up a core i5 or core i7 cpu at big discounts too - but they don't ship them out at those prices. www.microcenter.com.
