Building PC - Looking For Supportive Motherboard

Hi, i'm in the process of finding parts to build my first pc. I am going to be using the AMD Phenom II X4 945 CPU,
2X Radeon HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 GPU's in crossfire,
8GB (4X2GB) of Corsair 1333 DDR3,
Windows 64bit,
and the Corsair TX 750W PSU.

I am looking to spend $100-190 on a good bang for buck Motherboard.
I have been looking at the ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 Motherboard, and the higher and lower models. Is this a good choice? Also, in the VGA section of the specifications for ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 Motherboard it said "Maximum shared memory of 1GB" in the list:confused:. Does this mean it won't support the 2X Radeon HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 GPU's in crossfire? One other thing, I need a computer with wireless internet, does this motherboard have wireless internet inbuilt? If not how do I get Wireless Internet?

shared memory refers to the onboard radeon 4290, crossfiring the cards wont be using that onboard thing, so you will be fine

and no the motherboard does not have an integrated wifi card, you can pick up a cheapie rosewill for whatever you need for about 30 bucks, however if you were going to do that id grab the more expensive cousin of this motherboard due to the pci-e layout:

i perfer having the PCI at the bottom and PCI-e at the top, makes it easier to fit a cheapie wifi card in the bottom of the case without really disrupting airflow to the middle gpu

for wifi, may be odd, ive used rosewill in the past and as long as you use the zero configuration utility it should work fine

for random dodads that are not mission critical, rosewill is pretty nice for stuff like this i think its using a atheros chipset on that card

I'm hearing mixed reviews about that but I'll look into it Daisy. Apparently the RAM is a bit close to the CPU, would it fit 8GB(4x2GB) plus the Cooler Master Hyper Z600 with two 120mm side fans? Also, is that built in wireless I see, if not, would it fit one on it?

Daisy is 100% correct, Asus 890FX is the top of the line for AMD based systems.there aint no mixed reviews about it, its a beast.Here, try this combo its probably the best bang for your buck. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.470502 and why you so worried about build in wi-fi? just buy a wi-fi card.

Edit-Are you buying 2x 5770's or you already have them? if your going to buy them i wouldent. your going to spend around $340 on both and your only getting half the performance on the second one in crossfire, each time you add a card in crossfire it cuts the performance of the additional card added. so after the 3rd card it gets pointless. i would invest in a single good card like the gtx470, 480 or even the 5870 than crossfire down the line when you need to. a single gtx470 is going to give you the same performance as 2x5770 but draw less power than in return less heat at about $20 cheaper.hope this helps, GL.

That's a very nice motherboard tech savvy but it's a little high for my price range, Daisy's suggestion is already pushing my limit and I defiantly wouldn't use a 6 core processor. Also, I forgot to update my system, no I don't have any of the parts yet, I will be using the 1xRadeon 5870 GPU instead, with the option of adding another if I ever get the cash, also I will be using the AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 Ghz Black Edition. But would the PSU fit? or are there any more efficient ones available? Also, very new to building PC's, what does the 890FX chip actually do?

why would you get the x4 965 at $165 when you could get the x6 1050t for $15-20 more? thats way more bang for your buck.

edit- your paying $41.25 per core on the x4 965 and paying $31.66 per core on the x6.

I will be using it for games primarily and I hear games only ever use a max of 3 cores. I think 6 sounds excessive, but prove me wrong by all means lol.
EDIT- Just looked at benchmarks and the x4 965 beat the x6 1050t in pretty much all games. Sorry dont think its for me

you are right but more and more games are coming out that will use the extra cores, and the x6 will be way more future proof than the x4. just saying that the x6 will be a better investment. its your pc my friend its going to be your decision in the end.im just here to help you decid whats best for you thats all, i hope you take all this information that has been giving to you and make one bad a$$ pc,GL

Initially my mates all said stick with 2 cores, I was the one who pushed for 4 cores. And yes, your probably right, the 6 could be a better long term investment, but for now I think ill get the top of the range 4 core, its more friendly for what I do and more price friendly. But thanks for your input :).

no problem,GL...its more friendly yes, but not more price friendly.the x6 is more price friendly
