Hey guys,

I'm building a basic computer for my friend. He just wants the usual web browsing, word documents and email kinda things.

I've got a list of parts here, and wanted to check if they are all compatible with each other. He wants a low profile, micro ATX case.

CASE:
Antec NSK-2480B Solution Series MicroATX Desktop Case W/300w PSU

Motherboard:
Asus P8H61-MX-USB3 MotherBoard Socket 1155, H61 / 2 x DDR3 / 1 x PCI-E3.0 x 16 / 4x SATA2 / 2 x USB3.0 / DVI / D-Sub / GBLAN / mATX

CPU:
CORE i3 3220 3.30GHZ 3MB LGA1155

HDD:
Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB, 7200RPM, SATA3, 16mb Cache, 3.5"

RAM:
Strontium 4GB Single DDR3 1600MHz Desktop RAM

I dont think he'll need a video card for what he wants, and I'm planning to load windows 7 x64 and office onto it. Its just a very basic, budget pc. Will this work?

Thanks

Looks good to me but I did a build similar to this for my Mum and since she doesn't store a lot of files on her PC I just used a 128GB SSD and installed Windows onto that, it's nice and fast, so I'd probably recommend you do the same. :)

I'd also suggest a B75 board over an H61 board for your i3 3220. I used an ASUS P8B75-M (or something like that, it's an mATX board) for Mum's build and the same i3 you're looking at and it's all good. You don't need the graphics card either, the i3's integrated graphics will be fine. :)
