Built in wifi?

Without knowing which particular PCI-E wifi card and which particular USB wifi adapter you're talking about, there's absolutely no way to say that one is faster, better or more stable.

I've used both types and had great results from either.

I've had mixed experiences with both, but at the end of the day, get whichever is most convenient for you.

Generally, one is not 'better' than the other. 'Better' is relative anyway.
 
My perference is USB > PCI-E

Since my pc usually putting under desk/ corner against wall, the signal is a lot weaker than I using usb extension and place the adaptor on the desk.
