I was just building this for fun since I'm really bored and thought it would be fun to build a DDR3 system. And to my surprise the total wasn't to much higher than the system I was planning on getting. About $2,512.00. What do you all think?

nice machine...where the hell do you get all that money from, and then all for a computer???!?!??!?!?!?!??!

Yea as others said, get a 4870 for the X48. It'll scream with that chipset. Not to mention, when a single one starts to not become enough (which will probably be a while) then you can just pop another in. ATI Crossfire scales much better than Nvidia SLI. In crossfire you really do get double the performance in most games, SLI sometimes you'll only get half potential of the second card, sometimes less.

It's called a job, try it sometimes!

He said it was a build for fun as well

Hahaha, Yea I got a job. Plus I'm going to school for computers. And work at a local computer store. So two jobs! And yea, I built it for fun just to see how much it would cost and see your opinions.

Hmmm, Yea you guys are right the 4870 would kick ass with the x48. And I would save LOADS of cash. with just a single one for now. Once my next paycheck comes in. Dual it up!

Whats wrong with his GPU???? I dont know i just like Nvidia  and like the quality of there cards... Never had an Ati so i guess i need some insite as to why there better at the moment.... Any help?????

Sorry i dont have the full technical specs. It's because im at work right now and dont have it with me.
Just wanted to know if for $300 it was a decent buy. It also has Microsoft Office 2007
And windows xp professional (Vista was offered. But i prefer Xp for now)

I think he meant he virtually built it as in wishlist and such?

Yes, On newegg.com. At one time I have 7 built computers (WISH LIST) I build them when I'm bored and when I want a new computer or my friend is looking for one. I bring it up and show them.

if i were you i'd get a second hdd for data storage. And change the screen to something 24" they're affordable now. Also i don't know how you feel about audio? But me being an audiophile i'd get something else then the soundboard that came with the mobo.

I don't have time now but i'll post something about the cooling of the case later.
