Burner not working

I recently built a comp for a friend, it's using Tiny XP which cuts down on most of the unneeded windows things. I run the samething and have never had a problem so I don't think it's that. Anyways, in my computer it shows the drive labeled as a CDRW, but windows media player can't find a drive to burn with. Any ideas?

Make sure the IMAPI CD BURNING service is started:
Go to Start
Click Run
Type services.msc
Locate IMAPI CD BURING COM SERVICE
Right click it and go to Properties
Under Startup Type: Choose Automatic
Click Ok
Right click the service, and choose Start
Hope this helps

Like I said I am using Tiny XP and so are my friends comps. None of these comps have Imapi visible in the services tab, not even mine, but my burning functions fine, that was the first route I took and could not find that file in there.

Also the lats tab on the drive is "Drivers" and none of the tabs show anything about recording that I can see.

Maybe not the best solution, but a simple solution might be to get a free burning program, such a Nero express and use that...
