Burning disks with two drives

Hello. I have some friends that own an older, refurbished pc running windows 98. It came with one CD/RW drive and one DVD drive. They would like to burn CDs, but they told me that it doesn't recognize the drives to do that. Is it possible that this pc can't do that, if it has like a Pentium II or III? The system doesn't say what processor it has, but I'm assuming that it probably has around those two. The reason why I ask is because I thought that a P III could only recognise a 40gb or so hd, so I just figured that it might be limited to one drive for burning too. Thanks!

Windows 98 does not built in cd burning software. You will have to install some CD burning software that will still run on 98
