I am sorry if this question has already been answerd :)

I burn my avi films to a disk using nero 7 burning rom. I burn the whole film including a menu screen and chapters to a blank 4.7gb disk. When i play the disk on my Xbox 360 the films play fine. But when i watch my films down stairs on another DVD player they freeze skip parts of the movie. It cant be the DVD player because its a new DVD player and the same thing happens on my sisters DVD player when i burn films for her.

Im just wondering if there is any way i can burn my films onto a disk that can play on any DVD player smoothly?

Thanks

It's most likely the media you are using. What brand and type of disk are you using dvd + or - r? I wouldn't suggest using rw's. Are you sure you are burning them into actual dvd files?

Hello,

I agree, try switching the media, do not buy the cheapest blank no name disks either, buy premium disks, spend the extra $2-$5. Also, try burning at slower speeds. And don't browse the internet or play on the computer while encoding/burning.
Good luck.

Re:

I think you have to use a nice DVD , and other option is reinstall the Nero with latest version, and always write the disc data less than 4.7 GB.

I'm not saying they aren't any good but some dvd roms don't like certain media. I've used memorex, maxell with no problems.
