Burning files to DVD

Hi, I'm a newbie to this site and to burning DVDs, and I was wondering if I could burn Files to a DVD+RW with windows explorer, or would I require additional software. I tried to with the default CD writing wizard, but it kept telling me that the disc I had inserted was either full or incompatible, which isn't true because I then burned a thousand songs to the same disc using iTunes with no problem. Thanks for the help

well, "files" and "songs" are different. i tend to think its ready to burn things in mp3 format, but you will need something else to burn other files, such as word documents and pictures. just a guess.

the XP cd writer doesn't support writing to dvd's as far as I know

i would prefer another program.

i myself dont like the windows wizard, and never got it working.

have you tried the wizard burning onto dvd with anything else such as data, movies, etc..?

and for what you are burning? it is music? data? or movies?
