well... i installed FO2,. but whenever i run it,.. it skips the into movie ( you only see a fraction of a second of it) after it did that, i get the loading screen,. wich seems normal.
But then, when i should be in the normal menu,. the screen goes nuts,.. i get really fast blinking horizontal stripes of the menu flashing across my screen
( random height of the stripes, and the rest of the screen is black)

anyone else encountered such a problem? I have no clue whats cousing it.. for example.. CS:S and BF2142 run great

EDIT... sorry... just noticed.. wrong topic title.. its FlatOut 2.. not Burnout 2.. :(

Well I'm pretty sure your prob. using updated drivers... Have you considered trying older drivers? Did you check for any game patches?

i have the newest nvidia drivers atm (always used these since i installed windows) so.. where can i get older drivers?

Ahhh you must have installed windows fairly recently? Their latest drivers where released Sept. 14. You can find the driver archive here http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-2k_archive.html Now of course you want drivers labelled such as "Windows XP/2000 32-bit" assuming your running 32-bit windows of course :). Good luck.

Noop.. ^_^ im running win xp x64 Pro.. but thanks tough, ill find them from here i gues. :)

:( no links to older drivers

Yes there prob. wont be much for Windows 64-bit. But now I'm guessing that is a probable cause of your game issue. It most likely was not intended to be run with 64-bit and therefore has a compatibility issue. I'm guessing though. Have you checked for patches? searched google for "gamename 64-bit issues"?

weird.. when i look on the nvidia site, and use the menu to get drivers to download.. the one is shows is 91.47 (the one i use atm)
but on the forum i see 92.91... i googled for that.. and i am downloading that one atm.. maybe that settles things.

Sounds like what happens when you overclock too high, horizontal and/or vertical lines appear and make the screen virtually unreadable.

no.. its like a black layer was put over the screen, and that was blinking in bar's.. i installed 92.91 beta now.. and i could play it.. but now it crashes after 5 min of playing ot so :(
