Buy buy XP, Hello Linux.

With windows XP being pulled off the market next monday, and kicking around the idea of using/learning Linux...

I installed Ubantu on my sony today. So far I like it. Pretty easy to learn, and the computer seems to run better. Anyone else pefer linux over windows?

As far as performance goes- Linux has a LOT of potential for utilizing hardware capabilities.

As far as appearance,ease of use,compatability go- at the moment, I'm sorry to say M$ wins hands down IMO

Also I do use Linux and have tried many distros as has PatrickV but windows just seems to be the one that all my customers use the most so I have stuck with it and probably will for a long time to come.

Maybe one day the tables will be turned and open source will rule the world

yeah linux is definately good to use. but everytime i find myself back on windows haha. so i guess i actually like windows better

Use both Ubuntu and Opensuse. They're great. But my mainstay is gaming so I won't say goodbye to Windows just yet..
