Buy Kepler now or wait for Maxwell?

I'm wondering if I should spend money on upcoming Kepler, or buy GTX 260 to hold out for two more years and then purchase Maxwell.

I would buy kepler. honestly computers are a constant waiting game, something much better is always just around the corner. The wait is not worth it. The GTX260 is a fairly weak card now. What I would do is get a GTX560 or GTX750 and see what awaits. If you need better performance later you can always SLI or upgrade cards later.

Despite the 260s being old, they haven't really come down in price enough to warrant buying them over something much newer. As wolfe said, the 260s aren't great anymore. I'd say buy a new Kepler GPU when they come out, they should be in here in a month or so, and you'll be happy, and you will have saved money in the long run.

What he said. If you keep chasing new components, it'll never end and you'll end up spending a ton of money. Best thing to do right now is get a 1155 board with PCI 3.0 and a decent power supply, and you'll be set for future upgrades.

And don't upgrade every year. Wait until your computer doesn't play the games you want at the level you want, then upgrade.

My recent computer is Pentium 4, and 512MB Nvidia Card, and it's very old (when I bought it, it was high end). Now, I decided to buy Kepler GTX 660 and Core i7 2600K, to use for at least 5 years. And just to mention, I'm not a high end gamer, I just want something which will serve me for a long time, and I think Kepler is enough. Thanks a lot :)
