buy now or wait?

i got an offer on my two 4870s. i plan on getting a single 5870, but not sure if i should buy it now or wait until cyber monday or when the 6k series come out.

not sure i can wait that long.
 
ok i sold both my 4870s now i need something to put in there. i think a 5870 will hold up for a bit, until i build my next computer.

i was thinking of waiting for the 6k series to come out so they would lower the 5ks. but amd went and F*ed up their naming, just like they did their cpus. now a 6870 doesn't mean shit.

I would go with the 6870, its as good if not better than the 5850, plus its in the price range of a gtx 460.. What I steal?! Im getting one soon, having owned a 5850, i cant wait for the 6870.

Ati definately has the upper hand the last couple years, in my opinion (price/performance) :eek:

no kiddin'! the 6870 is looking quite tasty right about now.
i wonder what teh 69xxs will be like. i almost want to wait to find out.

i was kind of focused on school atm, but sometimes i just feel like firing up a game.

also, i wanted a single card solution because my crossfire setup was too loud and had a tendency to overheat.
