Buying a card tonight...Need help asap =)

Ok so i'm in the process of buying the components i need to build my new comp....so i basically have narrowed my video card choices to these two below

basically i need help deciding which card is the better one...i don't really play too many intense games at that moment, but since i want this new comp to last a long time, i'd like opinions of which one you guys would recommend as the better card....thanks....:D
 
If you wait a few weeks the newest generation cards will be out along with the inevitable price drop on all the current cards. It may be more wise to wait it out for a few weeks and get a price break.
 
ok so i'll go with the gt...now anyone have any idea when this price drop is coming?..is it going to be a significant drop?...i'm not in a drastic hurry...these new cards coming out are they going to be that much better?...sorry i'm a noob when it comes to this stuff...i'm still using a fx5500 card
 
I dont think the new cards wil be much better than the GT, i also dont think there will be a prcie dop soon, and if there is it will be small
 
One is overclocked by the Manufacturer and is a waste of your money. That would be the extreme edition one. Also I would go with EVGA instead of XFX.
