Buying a Dell (uk) PC

Hi,

Anyone got any experiences with Dell machines (particularly in the UK). Was thinking of getting one, but i heard there Customer Service has gone downhill? Is this true or are they actually good?

Their customer service tends to be horrible. Its becuase they hire a bunch of overseas workers that cannot speak english very well. But if you work with them they will work with you. I had some issues recently with my dad's brand new pc that i build for him from them and they fixed all the problems and sent him new parts to replace the bad ones...

Dont they offer to sent someone out to fix it if there is a problem? I would probably go for that warranty if its any good

They do offer onsite assistance but usually its very expensive and most of their techs dont have a freaking idea what they are doing. Most noobie's can do a better job then them. They now have the dell oncall program but it only works if you have internet access and if you have broadband from what i'm hearing about it.

I can't state this enough. I bought 2 dells for more than 3.5k. They suck.

PERIOD.

Btw. i returned them. They can't overclock (not that i wanted to but u might), they have cheap ram, they have cheap old harddrives and their motherboard is specially desgined so u cant add additional components to it.
