Buying a gaming computer. HELP! :)

I was thinking of buying a computer for gaming purposes. My first option was the Dell XPS 8500
Processor: i7 3.4 Ghz overclocked to 4.0 Ghz i think
Graphics card: AMD Radeon™ HD 7770 2GB GDDR5
RAM: 12 GB
Price: 1700ish

iMac
Procesor: Same thing
Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2GB GDDR5
RAM: 8 GB
Price: 2444

What would I be better off with?

EDIT:
The dell also comes with a 24" Full HD LED monitor

take the pc, it is better to build one yourself but when you dont want that, take the Dell;)

with the other money you can buy some very nice upgrades to make an ultra pc:D

K, before I can give you some advice I need to know where you live.

I recommend you to build it yourselve.
With the specs you gave us we can't see how fast/good (quality) the pc's really are.

I can take some parts together for you, or search a good/fast pc.
The only thing I need to know where you live.

I really have no clue what so ever how to build a pc myself.
But I live in Ontario (Canada)

Like I said in my previous posts, I HAVE NO CLUE how to build a pc.
But if you recommend another company I could look into that isn't "over priced as hell" I'd appreciate it a lot.

If you can read instructions, have access to the internet, and can use a screw driver then you have everything necessary to build.
But if you recommend another company I could look into that isn't "over priced as hell" I'd appreciate it a lot.

there is none. They all over charge.

I'll definitely look into it, but I'll probably just end up buying one in the hopes of not messing anything up :P
 
It is extremely hard to mess it up. Really. Because there is not a single part of the computer that will plug into the wrong port. As long as your parts are good when you buy them it will all be good.
