Buying a gaming computer - need help

Hey, I'm thinking about buying a good gaming computer at about $1,500. I've never built a computer before and I don't know if I can be bothered ordering the parts seperately and potentially stuffing up the computer while building it. I'm looking for something that will run current and upcoming games (such as BF3) on high quality above 60 fps. I live in Australia so it's hard trying to find a good deal on a good computer but I've come across this:

Case: 1 x Antec Three Hundred Midi-Tower Gaming Case, Black - No PSU

Power Supplie: 1 x ThermalTake 750W Evo Blue - ATX 12V v2.3, EPS 12V v2.91, 140mm Blue LED Fan, Modular Cables
6xSATA, 2xPCI-E 8-Pin, 2xPCI-E 6-Pin

Motherboard: 1 x ASUS P8Z68-V Motherboard
LGA1155, Z68 (B3 Stepping), 4xDDR3-2200, 2xPCI-Ex16 v2.0, 2xSATA-III, 4xSATA-II, 1xeSATA-II, 1xGigLAN, 8Chl-HD, USB3.0, VGA, DVI, HDMI, ATX

CPUs | Processor: 1 x Core i7 2600 Quad Core (3.40GHz - 3.80GHz Turbo, 850-1350MHz GPU) - LGA1155, 5.0 GT/s DMI, HTT, 8MB Cache, 32nm, 95W

Memory - RAM: 1 x 8GB (2 x 4GB) PC3-10600 1333MHz DDR3 RAM - 9-9-9-24

Hard Drives - Internal: 1 x 500GB 7200rpm Serial ATA-III-6Gb/s HDD

CD/DVD/Blu-Ray Drive: 1 x 22x DVD+-RW Dual Layer DVD Burner

Video Card: 1 x VTX3D Radeon HD 6950 - 2GB GDDR5 - (800MHz, 5000MHz)
256-bit, 2xDVI, 2xMini-DisplayPort, 1xHDMI, PCI-Ex16 v2.1, Fansink

Operating System: 1 x Microsoft Windows 7 - Home Premium - 64-Bit

- $1,474.65

Will this computer run games like BF3 on high at 60 fps and is it a reasonably good deal? I would also appreciate it if anyone can give me a link to site that offers better deals and can ship to Australia.

Thanks in advance. :)

go for i5 2500k to save some money.

should consider a small SSD drive as well

Ram - DDR3 1600 would probably at similar price.

PSU - Not highly recommend thermaltake.

Yeah I would definitely go with a smaller SSD and a larger spinning drive. Put the OS and a few other things on the SSD and movies, music, documents, etc. on the storage drive.

Looks like a solid build, maybe get some 1600mhz RAM. I see no reason to get a lesser CPU if you're within budget and have not skipped in any big areas.

Thanks for the quick responses guys, but I have one more question. :)

Will having 8GB (2 x 4GB) 1600MHz RAM rather than 4GB (2 x 2GB) 1600MHz RAM increase the frame rate while playing on high settings or allow for a higher graphics setting while keeping the same frame rate, or is it just a waste of $40?

I would go with 8GB to allot for future increases in RAM usage. Games like BF3 will take 1.25-1.5GB of RAM just for that one program alone, and when you add in Windows and any other background programs running that 4GB can fill quickly.

actually you could prob upgrade it yourself for about 30 bucks in the future. prob less since the price has been dropping pretty fast for 1600, it was like 10 more a few months ago wasn't it, well for the 8gb's that is.
