Better card and it will save you £16.

You will have trouble overclocking because the Asus M2N4-SLI will not allow you to up-volt the cpu.

if he's building for the first time i don't think he should overclock his cpu. even with my limited experience i know that first time builders just shouldn't do that unless they have someone who has a decent amount of experience to help them.

Your right, although, it's always tempting to tinker.
Maybe the value added tax, more than doubling the price of the computer,
would be enough to dampen one's curiosity and stifle experimentation,
considering the great expense of failure. My sympathies.
He deserves twice the computer, or half the price.
I wish I could send it to him in a box for Christmas.

That graphics card may not play Oblivion on highest settings; I'm not sure.

That card will NOT play oblivion on max settings, in fact, it will not play oblivion anywhere near max settings, especially in high foliage area. Playing oblivion on max settings with everything turned requires a graphics card way out of his budget range.
