Buying a Laptop

And I definitely can't change the graphics card on this laptop besides the two I have to choose from to play games like GTA4 or another shooter? not that it would really change me buying this, but its always nice to know.

Another thing I've been wondering. Is there a way I could buy a dvd and save it to my laptop so like dyring travel or something I could choose to watch one of many movies without actually having the dvds with me?

What about for basic video editing, would this laptop work for that?

I don't know if GTA4 will run on the dell inspiron 13. As far as basic editing for videos it comes with a program called windows movie maker that is pretty good, I use it all the time.

What about the graphics card? Is there some way I could replace it without completely messing up the comp?

Also, it says it has an 8-in-1 media card reader, and the description says I could transfer photos and music. So would that mean I;d have to transfer videos through USB? Or could I still save videos to an SD card.

you cannot change the graphics card cause its intergrated, have you bought the laptop yet? And if it has a media reader for the sd cards then you can use those.

Nope, and probably won't be for atleast another month, still need to work off some of the money. It does have a media reader, but the description on the comp says music and photos. Can you not save videos to SD cards and have a computer read them?

I got your message Grier, I can't figure out how to respond haha. I mean like using an external recording device like a camcorder or something, recording me doing something, saving it to an SD card in the camera and importing the video onto my computer for editing. Or is there another way to do this?

If it has a media reader on the side and I have seen Dell Inspiron 13 come with them just stick in the sd card into it then save it to a folder on your computer. Then open it with windows movie maker or windows photo gallary. To send a message to someone on the top go to user CP and on the side there is a catagory to send messages.
