Buying a mother board

Wow, that was just working this morning. Umm, I have a newer Compaq Evo with xp, looking to upgrade it for doing designing and working with photoshop and adobe programs. Like i said i want to hook it up to my tv(with a hdmi cable). I am new to all this computer stuff, i know some, but not much. The computer has a blown power supply, so i really don't know what it has. Intel celeron processor, 512mb ram, the rest is unknown. I am trying to do this for about $200. I need some help making choices on what to get.

possibly this motherboard

Your second motherboard pick, the Asus, is an AMD socket so remember that if you pick that one you won't be able to use the processor you already have. The XFX motherboard is a good fit and with DDR2 prices where they are at it won't be much. I suggest kingston DDR2 RAM for that board. It's great RAM and it's really compatible. 4g's of that RAM is $47 at newegg.
