I'm going to be buying a new computer (not building) when Microsoft offers free upgrades to Windows 7. I'll be using it for gaming, downloading, watching movies, internet browsing, light video and photo editing, and all the usual stuff. My budget (for the computer only) is $2200 (canadian) max. I have a few questions though, because I haven't been following the industry for a couple years.
1) I live in Canada, so which store is better (for price, quality) - NCIX.com or Dell.ca? Or others? Don't say Newegg, please!
2) If anyone here has used NCIX, are their PCs any good? What about their warranty?
3) Is there any new, really good hardware (processors, video cards) coming soon that I should wait for? I don't mind waiting a month or so (because like I said I'm waiting for Windows 7 free upgrades anyway).
4) I'm looking for a good 24" + monitor for about $600 canadian (although cheaper is good too). I'll be gaming and watching movies, browsing, etc.
That's all I can think of for now, but I may have more questions later... Anyway, thanks!
