Hey, I'm planning on buying a new laptop soon. I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to this stuff though. So i was wondering if i could get some opinions on a few things. Ive got about a 700$ limit give or take a little. (750 highest probably.) And ive looked at laptops on newegg which is the site i generally use when it comes to computer stuff. And ive narrowed it down to

or

This is suppose to be a gaming laptop. Not cutting edge but decent enough. I play games like SC and a little counter strike here and there but, when new games come out like SC2 and Diablo 3 I'm wanting a computer that will run those smoothly. I don't want to make some stupid mistake and waste 700 dollars so if anyone could tell me how im being an idiot haha that would be great. Thanks in advance.

To be honest, none of those will run SC2 and Diablo 3 smoothly. First, Lenovo's are generally used as workstations, but they do play some games decently if you spend a little more.
But, all three of those will play counter strike no problem. You should also try and look for a
laptop with a dedicated graphics card as well.
