As the battery on my laptor doesn't work anymore (doesn't last more than 5 mins without any sort of power that is) and got tired of the one I have now, I thought it was about time to get a new one (as the guarentee expires soon).
Right now I have an
Acer Aspire 6920g
Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo CPU T5750 @ 2,00 GHz (667MHz, 2MB Level 2 cache)
4GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM (PC2-5300)
250GB (5400rpm)
Nvidia Geforce 9500m GS 512MB (512MB/1,7GB)
Windows 7 - 32-bit
The new notebook
Sony Vaio VGN-NW21MF
Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 2.2 GHz (2 MB - L2)
4GB DDR2 SDRAM - 800 MHz
500 GB - Serial ATA-150 - 5400 rpm
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 - 512MB (512/2280 MB)
Windows 7 - 64-bit
My biggest concern is the graphic card - as the one I have now seems to be very unstable when it comes to FPS while playing games. I don't expect it to run any of the latest games with high settings, but it would be nice if could run them stable. I used to play WoW, and the old computer often had some problems with the FPS as I mentioned.
So my questions are:
- Is the Sony any upgrade, compared with the acer.
- Is the graphic card? (will it be able to run games such as WoW on medium(perhaps high) quality?)
- How is Sony notebooks in general (quality)
The notebook is mainly used for school - but anything else is just a bonus
