Buying a SATA DVD burner tommorrow

I don't know of any specifics right off... I'd just look for the best rated ones, then the best priced ones... My previous brand of choice was NEC, but I think they've gone out of the burner business.

And is there any reason to get SATA? If you can find an IDE drive for less, there will be no performance difference.

depends on what you're going to do with the burner....
labelflash or lightscribe or regular
for regular nowadays all burners will do the job well. although i'm partial to pioneers just get the cheapest one you can find

Lightscribe is a toy.... :P I've used it a little...

I love my Samsung drives, I have the same as ThatGuy16, but both of mine are Lightscribe..

Are lightscribe dvd's expensive? I've never seen them. And can you just find a picture on the internet and scribe it on? That would be awesome.

A hear a lot of the albums (and some singles) you download come with the graphics from the Cd,s that you can burn onto the disks.

Never done it though.
