Buying Dell laptop

I am going to buy a dell studio laptop and was wondering if these specifications are good. I am not a gamer, but occasionally I will play a game on it. If anyone bought this laptop can you give me your honest opinion on how you think it performs and by the way how is the processor.

intel core 2 duo t6400
4 gb ddr2 memory
320gb hardrive
windows vista home premium

You'll need a 64-bit version of vista to use all 4gb and you need an integrated graphics card ( I'd recommend an XPS that's what I'll be getting)

Hi there, alyoob.

I would recommend a Dell XPS M1730. They are unstopable. I am unsure of your price range, but you can rely on an XPS M1730 to get just about anything done. They start from around $2500 if you're lucky, and can get quite pricey. If you are after a desktop replacement, this is what you want. You can pick the specifications on the Dell website to cater for your every need. You could also go for the more portable, practable option of an XPS M1330 or an XPS M1530. These are both quality machines, and easily render your needs as you mentioned. I would suggest an M1530, as it is in between the M1730 and M1330 in terms of price and performance. However, you wouldn't be able to get a 4GB in the XPS M1330, it's simply too much for the smaller laptop. All in all, you'll be looking at either the XPS M1530 or the XPS M1730. They both have what you are after and it's up to you to decide on your price range.

I hope I have been of assistance.

Can you guys not read, hes not doing any real gaming, doesn't need the card. Plus there are two studio models and depending on which one he is getting one of them has a pretty good radeon card for non-gamers. Do some research before posting. That will be a good setup for you but unless you get 64 bit vista you will only get 3.25 gigs of memory out 4. But what are your plans for your laptop because 3.25 will probably be fine.

I may be a little biased towards what you're getting because I got the T9300 2.5ghz processor and the Radeon HD 3650 graphics card.
But this computer is perfect. I don't really have any problems with it. It's fast, reliable, durable (I carry this everywhere around campus), and I can play Fallout 3 and Crysis on graphics levels, in my opinion, looking better than games on the 360. The only problem I can think of is that I can't play high end games (i.e. Crysis, Fallout 3) on the very highest settings haha
I can play Doom 3 on Ultra without any hickups though :P

Anyways, especially in your case, just save the $50 and go with the 3GB of memory. You really don't need any more than that. Besides that AND if you are POSITIVE you aren't going to be playing any aggressive games, you're good to go
