buying faulty processor

Hey guys I saw this on ebay

I'm curious to why anyone would buy faulty processors, what can you do with them? Would it be electronics related?

They probably hope to rma them to Intel, or maybe get one to work in their board

Didn't someone make a hot plate using a defective CPU?

Ah okay. Just seems like a lot of money being spent, on 3 processors that don't work- so are useless.

Even for the hot plate idea i would probably use a cheaper CPU- something like an old pentium 4.

A guy in my highschool made necklaces and earrings out of cpu's

As far as I know he still hasn't gotten laid (10 years later)
