Buying laptop

im going to buy a new laptop i am trying to spend less than £350 and want at least a a pentium dual core processor do you have any recomendations?
im thinking to buy the Advent 5431.

Advent is not a good brand, not suggest you go near that...

i really like the asus

I have only had one Asus, and the battery life is terrible and under load, I swear the processor is trying to shit a brick. I am posting this now at 102 degrees, in a well ventilated room with all fans set to 100%. My battery life is around 22 minutes on an 8 cell for a dual core T7250 (2ghz) and X1700 at idle (89 degrees) and 200gb HD (at only 32 degrees???).

Maybe the newer ones are different. This one is nearly two years old now, so they may have sorted those problems out.

If I'm not mistaking the Pentium dual cores run hot. If you want to go Intel then get their Dual Core Duo.

I would go with the Lenovo myself or consider an HP.

Go with either a dell or and acer or lenovo I dont know how much exactly it will cost you but these will be good computers for you
