Buying new GPU. Any suggestions?

Where are you finding that price? It's an insane ripoff. It's worth maybe half of that. I assume you're talking about US Dollars.
 
Do you know the brand? It's probably sufficient unless it's from a questionable brand. Poor quality power supplies are notorious for frying themselves if over stressed by power hungry components like GPU's.

On NCIX the same card is 400 dollars after rebate, so NCIX is 15 dollars cheaper.

NCIX is a reputable firm like Newegg, I don't see any reason to trust them more or less than Newegg.

Also 405 Dollars is the cheapest new GTX 970 on Newegg, the cheapest GTX 970 is 390 dollars on NCIX: http://www.ncix.com/detail/evga-geforce-gtx-970-4gb-3e-104474-1378.htm

NCIX is definitely trustworthy. I just pulled up Newegg.ca because I'm not familiar with Canadian sites.

I'm very interested in buying this part, but after a few minutes being on the website it stop responding and I can't connect to it. I'll wait a bit and try again.(Its back up)

I want to thank you all for the help! I've learnt a lot in the past few days about computers and what to look for.
