Buying new parts, tell me what you think.

Well my crusty 3 year old rig just isn't cutting it anymore so its time to mostly let it go. I do gaming, but mostly multi-tasking which this computer can hardly do. So here is what I have picked out:

CPU
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ $190
Motherboard
Asus A8N SLI Basic $122
Video Card
e-GeForce 7600GT $200
RAM
Kingston 512MB 400MHz* $100(Free using a $100 gift card)
PSU
Antec 450W $70
Case
Cooler Master Centurion 5 $57

Total $639

I'll be using my hard drives, CD Burner, another 512MB of Kinsgston and soundcard from this computer until I get some more money I want to spend. Any suggestions would be appreciated because I will spend more money if I have to.
 
Everything looks good, I'd bump up to 2gb of ram. It's not too terribly much more, and your system will perform at it's peak more consistently, especially if you like to run with a lot of apps loaded.
 
you said you already have harddrives and i see you say they are full in ur sig. i suggest that you get a 3.0Gb/s SATA drive (i think thats how u say it). but anyway SATA way faster.
 
Monkeysims: Thanks for pointing that out. I heard somewhere that the X1800XT is a better choice but I never looked into it.

Spillsaw: I think I'll try to bump it up to at least 1.5GB. I know I would benefit from 2GB but thats just a bit too much money right now.

Wixostrix: Thanks for reminding me. I actually did forget that I have no space and these drives suck. I'll see if I can pick out at least a 100GB SATA drive.
 
For the most part it's good, but try and get some Corsair or OCZ memory. Kingston is ok, but just ok. Not really the performer that Corsair or OCZ are.

Well sure post it up and I'll see if it would work for me.

Ceewi1: I'm Canadian so the cheapest 7600GT I could find is $200 and I couldn't even find an X1800XT but if I did I'm sure it would be well over $200.
