Buying open box from Newegg?

I plan on buying a new board, and I saw that buying open box dropped $50 off the new price. However, I'm a bit weary of it, and therefore I have a few questions.

1) Will it come with all cables, manuals, and everything that a new one would?

2) Is the return policy still the same if something goes wrong, or the board is DOA?

3) Would you recommend it?

The whole point of me thinking about it was to then spend the $50 elsewhere whether it be on a case, hard drive, or whatever.

hmmm... The answer to number one is no, it doesn't come with anything, but the motherboard itself, it doesn't even come with in I/O Faceplate for your case.

Number 2: Yes, still the same.

Number 3: No I wouldn't reccomend it, you will have a hell of a time finding drivers, and you probably will not find a faceplate for the motherboard.

Yeah..knowing that now I'm not going to. Damn, $50 less and you lose everything? That's pretty much a waste of money..

It may or may not. They don't make any guarantees.

Newegg.com offers a 15-day refund-only return policy for all open box merchandise. Remember if you purchase a Open Box product you will receive an OEM BAREBONE item, meaning you will only receive the item itself. Accessories are NOT INCLUDED with Open Box products, even if the missing accessory is required for the item to function properly.

Personally, no. Not with a mobo. You need a faceplate and you may not get that with and open box item.

EDIT: Well, you really dont *need* a faceplate, but...

It really depends on what it is though.

An openbox motherboard, well, there is like a 5% chance id ever buy that.
