You don't plan to OC do you? i would get a nForce 590 if you wanted the option of sli and are very good boards (nforce 680i is the 590sli renamed for intel basicly) sli mode x16/x16

Or a gigabyte nForce 570sli (sli mode x8/x8)

Of course you dont have to use the sli option but would be there if you ever got that "wild hair" :P
 
Just get the X2 6000, since the difference isn't that big, get the non oc version of the 8800 gts and buy the corsair 520w off buy.com

Yeah, i would say get the 5200 or 5600 and overclock... but i think he said he don't want to OC. They are all the same chip, same cores with different factory clocks. IMHO the 6400 is overpriced. But i can honestly say i can tell a difference from 3.0ghz to 3.2 and 3.2-3.3...
 
I don't have that problem with my 9500, i hear some people say the 9700 is louder... both are copper, just the 9500 is nickel plated to make it black/silver finish
 
get a better mobo so you can take advantage of that baby's unlock multi
edit:: Thermalright ultra 120 extreme is the proven best air cooler on the market
