Alright i'm buying a new comp this week, just wondering what u guys think of the specs and if I should change anything:)

AMD Athlon 64 X2 S939 4200+ (400) 1MB RETAIL

Asus A8N-SLI NF4 S939 PCIE Motherboard (Is this mother any good?)

Thermaltake Tsunami VA3000BWA Tower Case - BLACK

LG 52X32X52+16X CDRW/DVD Combo OEM - BLACK

Seagate 250GB 7200RPM SATA 150 8MB Hard Drive

DDR Corsair 1GB (2*512) 400fsb Cas2 TWINX (does 400fsb mean its a 3200 and what does cas2 mean cause I found cas2.5, cas3 etc...)

Antec NeoHE 500W High Efficiency Power Supply

and last but not least xfx 7900GT video card.

DVD burners are always good to have. Who knows what you could use it for. I say just buy it now and save yourself the future upgrade.

It means that its running at 200Mhz x 2, which gives you the DDR400 (PC3200) figure. Cas Latancy determines how quickly your memory can be accessed, and lower the better.

Other then that, everything looks good. How much is this costing you?

Thx for the comments, ya i should probably get a dvd burner , so if I have a lower case number does that mean its better for overcloking, its going to cost me around $1700-$1900, it depends caue buying from different stores.

Your case does not affect your overclocking potential, if that's what you're implying. If you do intend to overclock heavily, you may want an aftermarket cooler

I haven't added everything up, but it seems quite expensive for what you're getting.

Overall it looks good. You may want to add another gig of RAM, if you can afford it, though.

I'm not gonna be able to get 2 gb, in fact I'm thinking of saving some money by getting a x2 3800 and maybe downgrading the video card, I was thinking of x850xt, which card do you guys think would be a good budjet card.

i was just going to suggest what u said....x2 3800+ instead of 4200+ and id say a good budget card would be x800gt but if u can afford it get 2 gigs of ram if not 1 gig isnt bad either but like they suggested above dvd burner is nice to have

Good idea, the performance difference isn't that significant if you need to save money.

A less desirable downgrade. I'd look at the 7600GT if you need to.
