buying work laptop or other

Hi all I'm new. Have a buying question.

I'm looking for an inexpensive laptop or other device with Excel and Word and possibly Outlook for work. They don't issue laptops and it drives me nuts to go into a meeting and not be able to type notes. I don't want to spend a lot on it because I just need it for these purposes. Any tips/recommendations?

Get yourself a Surface RT. They come with Office RT preinstalled.

thank you! I'm also looking at chromebook. can get outlook, word, excel on line.
