Well this guy came up to me and asked my if I could by pass his login screen (where you enter your username and password). Is there any program that can bypass this for me? What I like about the deal is, if I can bypass that for him he will pay me 100 bucks. lol

Any help will be appreacited, Bob.

More the 2nd one, but if it come down to breaking into it to bypass then 1st one also. Mind this is his computer.

Bob.

hehe. for some reason that sounds oddly amusing.

well, first off, is he able to get into the computer? meaning log in and use it as administrator? where he can change settings?

if u want to bypass it, just login, go to
control panel>user accounts>his account and turn off the password.

or is it the welcome screen he wants off?

You can reset it with a windows disk, or boot knoppix and take the sam file. there are lots of programs out there that let you do it.

Just Try logging in as administrator without a password.. It will work unless he changed the password..

Username: administrator
Password: (blank)

Lol, my bad you guys. He forgot the password and can't get on
Uhuh  :P

Hehe personally i say screw em :p If you forget your password then it wasnt valuable enough.... 'sides ... there's always the password hint which appears next to the prompt in case you forget .. now if you forget THAT, then you really didnt value the password enough ... so screw em ... sides ... you can always sweat him out for more money that way

LOL, well there is always a way, but the question is do any of you know how to do it on a mac? I don't lol.

Thanks, Bob.

To change the OS X administrator password if you have forgotten the current password:

1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc
2. Restart the computer
3. When you hear the startup tone, press and hold the C key until you see the spinning gear
4. When the Installer appears, choose Utilities - Reset Password
5. Follow the onscreen instructions to change the password
6. Quit the Installer
7. Restart your Mac while pressing and holding the mouse button to eject the disc

Remember to change your login password in Keychain Access to match your new password, and to store the Mac OS X User Install disc in a secure place. - about.com
