C drive as removable drive.

uh.... anyways..... my C: drive IS my boot drive. it is also my OS drive and its Sata. and i dont think the software is written wrong, i tried 2.7 and one of the newest, 3.1 and still the problem persist.

anything else u guys want me to clear up just in case anyone gets confused with the situation? lol

Have you tried motokit or is what you are trying to do something that only works with RSD?

edit: Try this
1) run regedit.exe
2) go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup
3) change BootDir value from D: to C:
4) Run setup now

As I mentioned earlier the installer was designed to install onto an ide type not Sata type drive.

I wasn't taking credit for anything. After the last few replies I was going to add in the idea to check the bios settings. Someone beat me to the punch line there apparently. :P
