Little high strung are we?
Seriously, trying to compare HTML to C# is like trying to compare a car with an orange. HTML is scripted language, its not software development. It simply is a way of displaying information. There is no compiling, there is no software. So yes, I may consider myself a n00b at software development, but I can write html and php, and dont you forget it. Perhaps if you knew a little bit about html you could see that had my site been made in a WYSIWYG there would be useless xml, tables, other jabber that gets put in. However, whilst it might not be perfect. My html is several hundred times more efficient, streamlined, and doesnt contain useless crap because it was entirely hand written, including the php.
Now going on to darkbasic. Yes, for anyone out there who wants to produce a game on top of layers, with little code, and in a short amount of time. Sure, recommend it. If you want to be able to have a greater link with hardware, then use C++ with dx. But what if joelmagar wants to program for the Zune or Xbox360. Maybe he wants a little bit more flexibility and greater support in a newer langauge, but doesnt want to hassle with the problems of C++.
And please explain this line to me.
Are you serious? So you're telling me that XNA, the architecture and framework on which the xbox 360. Largest selling and outperforming gaming console, is not meant for games and their development. Microsoft, spending billions on building XNA...and its not meant for game development? Lets branch out a little. C++, the main language that has built 99.999% of games with dx, and he wouldnt be able to develop his own. Yeah, that makes sense...
Seriously. I mean no disrespect to you and what you use, but dont disrespect me or my coding. Especially if you have yet to show any of your own.
