C2D E6400 with radeon 9600

I would honestly NOT get the IP-95 board.. yes, it would work with the DDR400 ram.. but the CPU will be greatly bottlenecked by the board.

Honestly.. save the cash till you can afford CPU + Motherboard + PCI-e grafics and the suiting DDR2 memory. everything else just wouldnt be worth it.:o

What about the ASRock 775DUAL-VISTA, that should be fine as he can use AGP, PCI, PCI-e, DDR RAM and DDR2 RAM... Oh, and the E6***

:D

Ever hear the term "Jack of all trades, master of none"? It's better to get a board that fits just your needs. Also, it only has PCIe x4 and x1, no x16, which is what he needs if he plans on upgrading later.

Yeah, I've heard it :P

But that would fit his needs. He wants a LGA775 socket, DDR RAM (room for ddr2 in the future?) and maybe to keep his AGP card for a bit...

There isn't that much difference in a x4 and x16 slot, You wouldn't notice it would you?

I think thats what im gonna do then....i dont want to waste what little cash i have.

It would be nice to be able to get a C2D now but im gonna save and see if i can get me a whole new system.

my cousin actualy goes to computer fairs where he says the parts are a whole lot cheaper so maybe i will go with him next time to see what stuff they have
:)

It is a great board, but as I said earlier, I think he would be better off buying a cheap PCI-E card so that way he can buy a nicer motherboard and keep it.

Yeah well i definatly think i will save up and build a new rig,

That way my little sister can have my current rig for he homework & such:)
