cable help

If I have a network setup and it is Thinnet or any type of Coaxel Cable am I right that it will use a BNC Connector??

I do know that you can buy connector to convert BNC to RJ-46 and things like that.
That is not what I am asking.

I just want to know that if you see a network that is running on Twisted Pair Cable you know it is useing an RJ-45 connector.

And if the network is running on any Type of Coaxel cable it will use a BNC connector???

you meak RJ-45 which is Ethernet. And BNC is totally different that RJ-45. Its very outdated and is slowly being buried by cat5/6

Its very easy to tell which network is using which.

thanks but

I know Ethernet is diferant then Cable.

But am I right that anything that says Thinnet or Thicknet is Coaxel cable and BNC connector?

For the most part Yes. You will never see a fiber optic setup called thinnet. Its just so old and im trying to kick it out of my head from old college classes.
