Cable TV with media edition

How could I get cable and tivo and all that other crap advertised with media center? and what are the downsides of media center?

dont quite get what ur saying, so you want to connect tivo to your media center pc or just direct cable

because you can use your media center pc like a tivo, you can record your favorite tv shows and stuff

ya, so how would I connect an actual TV cable source to my PC? get a TV Tuner card?
