hi there i'm new and i was wondering about all the many different types of cable there are to interface with a computer...
one of my friends was wondering if it would be a good idea to have a "universial cable" that could be used for literally everything (ie instead of usb, power cables, vga, jacks) and im almost completely sure it wont work but cant find anyhting concrete to disprove his idea
i was thinking along the lines of different signals being sent which would interfere and the different requirements of shielding. also if it was universial on both ends, you'd still need a connector so it kinda defies the point of having a universial connector...
what do people think?
thanks
