Game:Call of Duty 4
Favourite Weapon:
M40A3 - I start with this on pretty much every map. I'll usually pick up a secondary weapon as fast as I can, whatever I run over first, but I like always having a sniper rifle. It's relatively weak, but that doesn't matter in hardcore, it has one more bullet than the R700, and is the most accurate of the sniper rifles.
Hated weapon:
Grenade Launcher- It doesn't matter what it's attached to, I hate when people use this and only this. Especially the people that have taken the time to memorize where they have to fire to get spawn kills at the very beginning of the match. Destroys the whole spirit of the game.
Favorite Map
Creek- 'cause I love sniping, of course. It's also fun in close quarters combat, because it's easy to sneak up on people.
Most hated Map
Wet Work- I wouldn't say that I hate any CoD4 Map, but this would be my least favorite, because all too often it just turns into a noob tube and grenade fest. Although, I do like it in free for all. In the super close quarters I'll just run around like crazy and get most of my kills via knife.

why do u say only people without skill use the m16, i play the 360 version and i use the m16 as i stated earlier in this thread, but i can gurantee i can kill with ne other just as fast i prefer m16, cuz 3 round burst less recoil, and pretty accurate. i guess having a 2.06 KD is not having skill

I like showdown but i find it too small and often you get killed right after you just spawn especially when you spawn outside of the complex.Tuffie said:

You get it at level 10 (without the sight). It's accurate, powerful, automatic, with a large clip. What's not to love?
Hated weapon: M16-
The 3 round burst annoys the hell out of me. The only thing worse is that with a n00btube.
Favourite Map: Backlot-
I love tons of corners, places where quick, accurate reflexes rule all. Plus it has good open areas.
Most hated Map: Bloc-
Absolutely terrible. Everyone grabs their sniper rifle and sits. I'm too twitchy and impatient for that.
Favorite perk: Last stand-
Teach those m'uckers to shoot me.
Most hated perk: Martyrdom-
Annoying. Although it does teach idiots who just stand there after they kill someone a lesson.

Those with a high k:d and use it have no skill?
I am sorry but you said it has 3 fire burt and 1 bullet kills, auto sniper, all LMG but SAW, both of those are auto or semi auto and 1 bullet kill and the LMG you can spray with.
Skill isn't measured by the weapon of choice it is measured by erm, what's it called now, hang on, give me a minute...erm...oh yea, SKILL

In my experience most of the people that complain about this weapon are those that like to spray and pray with the fully automatics. They get pissed because they empty half a clip in my back, and miss so many times that I have time to turn around and one shot them.
I'm not saying it's not a bit over powered, because it is. But not so significantly that it's worth ranting a cussing about as I see so many do online. I don't ever start with one, but I'll swap my pistol out for one, and some people hold that against me for some reason.
Although, I play hardcore mostly, and no one really complains about it there, because many guns are one shot kills.
facts about the m16-
it does the same damage as the ak47
is more accurate
fires 3 rounds burst instead of full auto
m16 fires burst@ 925 rpm but has a delay that brings the sustained rof to around to 615rpm even with great timing
ak47 does full auto @ 700 rpm
therefore it would seem that the m16 requires more skill then the ak47 (even though all competive players use only the ak47 out of all the assault rifles) because it is more accurate at the trade off of getting less bullets down range (spraying). m16 also requires timing if you miss the first burst or don't have stopping power.

Gewehr 42 - I can fire as fast as I press the button. Beats out SMGs at range and I can often beat them in a firefight. Aperture sight is better than scope since the scope lowers accuracy. The range almost matches a sniper rifle and as long as you play on an HDTV an you have a good eye for small things, you can snipe and kill anyone even if they are a tiny dot on the screen. I've even beat out a sniper while using iron sights. I always do the accuracy perk with this.

Fully automatic weapons - I'm a rifle guy, I don't like automatic guns.

Hangar - there are always some great firefights at each end of the hangar.

Not sure the name but it is Makin at night. - I don't like it yet because I haven't gained my bearings on the map and I can't find my favorite spot.

I've never heard anyone call the shotgun a n00btube... I'm pretty sure that refers to the grenade launcher.

because of a glitch it is the highest damaging gun in the game (75 damage) and with stopping power is a 1hitkill in the feet.

a glitch keeps it from being effective with a silencer or rds but the stock sight is so good theres no need for a rds anyway. you get the mobility and hip accuracy of a smg, with the range of an assault rifle, and more controllable recoil then an mp5 (mp5 sprays in all directions where the 74 just climbs straight up.
hated guns
dont mind n00btubes that much as most of the n00bs who use them are helpless when you circle stafe and they have to predict your movements (most dont even bother to try) so instead my most hated gun is.....

I have now problem with this gun in games that arnt cod4 but it is serverly underpowered in cod4 when compared with the m4:
-it has the same damage
-a lower rate of fire (850 vs 750 rpm)
-has a much much higher recoil
-has a decrease sway but when it takes 4-5 shots to kill someone and the recoil is that high (less controllable the the ak47 imo) getting the first shot dead on target isnt that much help
-takes longer to reload

most hated map
Overgrown I dont have too many grips with this map other then it pigeon holes you into very long ranged classes.
