If I have a PC with 2 drives. One drive has Windows XP - applications and data - while the E Drive is pretty much just data storage - videos - photos - documents - etc -

* can I move a HDD storage drive from older PC to a newer one

- OR -

*will I have to reformat that HDD when I move it from an older PC to a newer one?

Thanks

Yes, that won't be a problem at all. You could move the Windows XP drive too and read data from it, you'll just have problems trying to boot from it.
