I'm looking to have fast gaming.
Sorry for this question, but i'm far from computer expert. I just have a really strong will to have fast gaming on my computer. Okay the computer i am going to get new is below on the best buy link. I'm not sure if it is able to have a video card installed, if there are other requirements, if it can take the video card i'm considering getting.

I'm not sure if it can take even have a video card installed in the computer or if it can even use a improved one for it. I'm looking for fast gaming. So even if the new card will improve its speed, i'm willing to spend more on top of what i'll already be spending on the new computer purchase. Below is the video card i'm considering buying.

Is it a good video card? Will it work in my new computer i'm getting?

If you're looking to do "fast gaming," the best route would be (yes I'm sorry for saying this) to build your own computer and with the budget you're giving yourself in terms of purchasing the Gateway and the XFX card, you can build a very nice one at that.

HOWEVER, if you're looking to just buy a machine, I would consider purchasing one off Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229200

That's one I found that is decent enough and you're getting a better CPU, better GPU, and really, you don't need 8 GBs or RAM - 4 GBs is plenty.

Or for $20 bucks more, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229181

You'll probably end up spending a bit more, but I think it's worthwhile for the specs and later on, you can then upgrade the GPU and increase the performance that way.

In response to your questions however, yes it will work with that computer, but no, it's not a good video card. If you do decide to get that setup, check Newegg since Best Buy is overpriced, compared to Newegg, and again, you can possibly find a better computer online than in stores.

It says 2.66GHz for the one you said. The one I was thinking of buying said 3.2GHz.

So how was the one you were talking about, is faster? Could you please explain? I'm lost. Because I thought the two things that determine how fast your computer goes is how much GHz and how much ram a computer has? Are there other factors too?

It depends on a lot of things, but the factors CPU, RAM and GPU plays a big role. Also PSU, since good stuff needs a certain amount of power supply
