could use winrar to split the ISOs into two 4.5gb .rar files.

but since you got the DL drive now its not really relavent.
$9.99 is a good price for a new, high speed DL drive and worth getting even if you don't need one.

The only problem is it thinks its a iso for a CD not a dvd, and its 8gigs

Changing the media should be sufficient to get it to work (i.e., changing to DVD9, ISo is just a format)

dude, if you're just burning the iso to mount on the other computer, why not just split the iso in half, so you can use single layer discs........
