Strategy:
Homeworld 2 ( lovely game, when youre into scifi strategy :) )
Nexus: the jupiter incident ( ditto, except this is rpg/strategy)

Rome Total war + Barbarrian invasion + Alexander ( 2 expansions) i dont need to tell you what those are about i gues :) but they are very well made.

if you're a star wars fan, I'd suggest knight's of the old republic I or II. II has the better conrtols tough.

if you like WWII,.. well, sudden strike 2 is a vare nice game,.. its just very realistiv.. so if 15 infantrist's meet a Tiger tank, its game over quite fast :)

I hate Homeworld 2 because I suck at it. I bought it before I read the reviews because the demo was awesome. Now, don't take me wrong, but it is awesome looking and playing it, but the difficulty is ridiculous.

The review for this game said that Homeworld 2 is a great game that failed to reach the stars because of the difficulty settings. Basically, the difficulty setting is not optional, therefore it can never be lowered from "HA-HA" Setting; HA-HA meaning: "I laugh at you everytime you win and gain a powerful army and great resources because I will calculate that for the next level and will double your tasks and enemies for you to finish with none" aka "Adaptive AI".

I had to share my piece. I don't think the guy should be given that choice without really knowing what he's going up against.

well.. the adaptive A?I made the game really interesting imo.
when i played the game the 2nd time,.. i used a trainer, and summoned mself 30 battlecruisers with it... was great fun,.. because i got 30 battlecruisers against me then ^_^ so... i saw capital ships getting 1-shotted by a massive armada :D

Thanks, I have finished these games, Diablo2, dungeon seige 2, age2&3, tomb raider, swat4, need4speed, desert storm. warcraft3, ghost recon. very neat stuff.

Dont be fooled by oblivion. Look at pro rig spec then compare it to yours. Whats your pc specs anyway? if its something like x800 or 6800gt dont expect it to be this good @ 1280x1024 resolution.

I'm not interested in sci-fi at all, yet the game is in my oppinions one of the best games I've played. So that should give you an image of how well it's done, when someone who originally doesn't care about sci-fi can really like the game.
 
Me I play any games you can give me as long its have a good and addictive story you cant wait to finish. even it gives me eye sores all day. if feels good to finish a game with out cheats.
 
unreal tournament 2004 is the best game ever, imo, but ut2007 is gonna be alot better graphic wise and it isnt that far away (q1 of 2007)
