Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

Okay so i recently bought a laptop which was advertised as having a intel pentium dual core t3200, however vista and cpuz says that it has a t3400. I tried looking on google to see if that chip even exists and found absolutely nothing. Do any of you guys know what in the world is going on.

Thanks.

The T3400 is a Intel Pentium Dual Core processor. It runs at 2.16GHz, 667Mhz FSB, and has 1MB L2 cache.

Hope this helps :)

its sad to say but you should always try the online stores for parts that you can't find on google sometimes they are pretty well hidden and not linked to anything yet.

may be your lucky day. Maybe when be built at the factory they were in the processor of switching processor for that frame and you got a newer model.

Basically you got a free upgrade. In the past I've ordered 2 identical laptops online and one of them had all the parts as advertised but the other had a slightly stronger processor. I don't know why or how it happens to be, but why complain ya know?
