can anyone tell me what ch temp reading corrwsponds too, im getting a bit confused, i always thought temp1 was CPU, but there are 2 temp1's, so WTF, obviuously HD0 and the other HD0 are my two hard drives, i thought temp2 was my case ambient, but now im unsure.

you can check by comparing the temps to PCwizard. thats whta i did at first untill i found a SpeedFan profile thing for my motherboard which i got at thier website. just go to the info tab and click "Get config" they might have your board.

i tried the get config, but nothign changed. i also downloaded PCWizard and it didnt mention any temp reading at 53*c, so is it jhust an error in speedfan or is there actually something in there thats about to burn itself into smitherines.....

It's probably just an error. I have a problem similar to yours, I have a Temp 3 reading of 120°C but I have no idea what it is.
