can hi heat decrease fps?

i have a zd7000 and it runs extremely hot. after a little while my fps drop while playing bf2 and i was wondering if this was bc of the heat?

also, does anybody know of a good cooler/vent pad for a 17" notebook?

when the cpu / video card heats up, the fps certainly does drop. make sure all your vents are clear and not blocked by dust. i reguarly clean my fans out when dust builds up.
